In Brief:
Unisys Australia subcontracted PK to develop CIS for The Office of the Protective Commissioner (OPC). This is the core system used to manage their vast client base and net client asset in billions of dollars.

The system provides estate managers with a comprehensive facility to manage all aspects of their client’s day-to-day activities including:

• contacts and carer details
• insurances
• mortgages
• allowances
• payments
• investments

The system also maintains a comprehensive finance module to look after the financial activities of each client. These activities include:

• Budgets and budget usage details
• Monthly Statement of Accounts
• Regular payments
• Maintenance of financial assets
• Properties owned by the client
• Details on all lump sum payments made by a court to the client
• Details on all cheque payments made
• Client insurance detail
• All transaction made to and from the client account
• Client income and expenses.

CIS interfaces with, and exchanges data with, the Portfolio Management System (PMS) and SUN Financials (SUNF) as well as Westpac Desk Bank - an application used to communicate with Westpac Bank. CIS sends investment and redemption request to PMS and a summary of financial transactions is supplied to SUNF.
